The Rubin Museum's "Reimagine: Himalayan Art Now" program marks its 20th anniversary with a Museum-wide exhibition featuring over 30 contemporary artists. This transformative initiative blends new commissions with existing works, inviting diverse perspectives on traditional Himalayan art. Through various media, including painting, sculpture, sound, and performance, artists explore themes such as identity, spirituality, memory, and global challenges, offering critical commentary on human experiences.

"Reimagine: Himalayan Art Now" showcases artworks by contemporary artists, including those from the Himalayan region and diaspora, alongside others inspired by Himalayan cultures. Through site-specific installations and juxtapositions with the Museum's collection, the program encourages contemplation and celebration of the evolving significance of Himalayan art. From exploring personal histories to addressing universal themes, this initiative engages visitors in new encounters with tradition and innovation.
